Vasant Panchami Minister to present silk clothes to Basara deity on Feb 14

Endowments Ministers Konda Surekha and MLA Rama Rao Patel will present silk clothes to Goddess Saraswati, deity of Basara temple on Wednesday in connection with Vasanta Panchami celebrations.
On Monday, the celebrations began with the Suprabhat Seva to deities Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Maha Kali and Goddess  Mahalakshmi amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by Vedic priests.
Puja in connection with initiation of children into education will commence from 2.30 am on Wednesday after performing Ganesh puja and Ashtottaram.
Arrangements have been made to distribute milk and biscuits among children and drinking water to the people. Special parking facility has been provided to enable the visitors to the temple to park their vehicles. Security has been beefed up for the celebrations.
Temple executive officer Vijaya Rama Rao has said that all arrangements have been made to rule out any inconvenience to the devotees.
