VCs discuss streamlining of recruitment in universities

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), under the Chairman Prof V Balakista Reddy convened a high-level meeting with the Vice-Chancellors of state universities to discuss the development and progress of higher education in Telangana.  
It was attended by N Sridhar, Principal Secretary of the Education Department, who delivered the inaugural address, outlining the vision and objectives of the Telangana government in advancing higher education.  
The meeting saw the participation of Vice-Chancellors from various universities.
A committee to streamline faculty recruitment and Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) promotions, ensuring compliance with UGC regulations, enhancing Institutional Rankings and Academic Standards were discussed. A new ranking framework would be developed to improve university ratings at national and global levels.  
In addition TGCHE is working on undergraduate syllabus revisions to align with industry demands and market trends. A core committee has been established to oversee the implementation of curriculum reforms.
In series of MoU, Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) and The Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India (BDMAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bridge the skill gap between Academia and the Pharmaceutical industry.
The primary objective of this MoU is to align educational training, research, internships with industry needs.
