Velama Assn files a case against MLA Shankar

The All India Velama Association filed a complaint with the Domalguda Police Station against the Congress’s Shadnagar MLA, Veerlapally Shankar, saying that they were offended by the abusive language used by the MLA against the Velama community.
The Velama Association requested the police to take action against Veerlapally Shankar. The Association said in its complaint that the abusive language used by the MLA and his threats were not tolerable.
The Association said the All India Velama Association has condemned the MLA’s comments and had appealed to the police to conduct a probe and take action.
Congress MLA Veerlapally Shankar’s video went viral on Friday. In the video, Shankar said that Velama leaders were engaged in conspiracies and that Congress leaders would not remain silent and would beat up Velama leaders without informing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
“We are Congress leaders. We will come out and beat them up if they do not end their conspiracies,” Shankar had warned Velamas in his video message. Shankar had used the word ‘Velama Kodukullaaraa’ many times in his video message.

Mahesh seeks explanation from Shankar
Reacting to the comments of Shadnagar MLA Veerlapally Shankar against the Velama community, TPCC President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud sought an explanation from the MLA.
It may be recalled that Shankar used the expression “Velama Kodukullaara Kabardar” and warned that the Congress would not remain silent if conspiracies were carried out against its government. He said that Congress activists would beat up the Velama leaders.
