The Congress MP from Bhongir, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has predicted a ‘hung’ Assembly in TS after the next elections. Venkat made it clear that it is inevitable that the BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has to join hands with the Congress after the elections.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday in New Delhi, Venkat said that no party will get a majority to form the government in the next election.

He said the Chief Minister praised former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while criticizing the BJP in the Assembly indicating that KCR will join hands with the Congress.

KCR also mentioned BJP MLA Eatala Rajender’s name several times and that is part of his strategy.

KCR also said in the Assembly that Manmohan Singh did a lot for the nation but failed to claim it, however, Modi did nothing but is claiming that he did a lot, Venkat said.

“No doubt the Congress did a lot for the nation. The Congress is a good party and gave the Telangana State but why did KCR purchase 12 Congress MLAs? It is all a drama of KCR as the BRS will not come to power in the next elections and so he is been trying to join hands with the Congress,” Venkat said.

“Going by my 37 years of political experience, there is a 100 per cent chance of a hung Assembly. No party will get 60 seats on their own. The Congress is a secular party and the BRS is also a secular party and so KCR will join hands with the Congress. The Congress has no alternative as it cannot join hands with the BJP,” Venkat said. The BRS also will not join hands with the BJP, he said.

Venkat said that there is not much time for elections in the state. “I have already urged Rahul Gandhi at the Warangal public meeting to announce 70 candidates much before elections as Congress has no money. The BRS and the BJP are cash-rich parties and it is not possible to face them. But there is no response from the party. The Congress will get 40 to 50 seats if all leaders work hard. However, it is not possible for any single leader in the Congress to ensure victory in all seats. Others will sit at home if one leader says that he will ensure victory in all seats. The party will win 40 to 50 seats if all the leaders work hard,” Venkat said, informing that he will discuss all issues after meeting Manikrao Thakre on Wednesday.

Venkat said that the Congress is now coming on track after Manikrao Thakre assumed office as the in-charge of Telangana Congress affairs. He said that the Telangana Congress has 20 per cent old leaders. The party must give tickets only to candidates who have winning chances whether they are new or old.

Stating that he will not be confined to a single constituency, Venkat said that he is a Star Campaigner and will launch his padayatra in March from Yadagirigutta.
