Senior actor Venkatesh became the Sankranthi winner with his film ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’ after his film’s huge collections at the box-office. The film released on the Sankranthi day, January 14, and got a hit talk from the first show onwards. The first day collections are also sensational and no one expects that it will be huge. This is also Venkatesh’s best till today. Dil Raju is the producer, while Anil Ravipudi is the director. Aishwara Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary are the female leads.
Interestingly, Dil Raju’s other film ‘Game Changer’, a high budget one, directed by Shankar, is declared a flop and now he is getting at least some money in ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’. Dil Raju may lose more than Rs 100 crore in ‘Game Changer’, says the source, but he may recover at least some from ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’.
“I am happy that my film is getting good response everywhere. Whenever I do family entertainment, the audience comes and enjoys my films. It gives me a different emotion,” said Venkatesh after his film’s success. He added that this film is going to be the biggest success in his career. “I should thank director Anil Ravipudi, for giving me a career best film,” he added.
Venkatesh did promotions for this film like never before and it definitely attracted the audience. The film may get breakeven on the third day and from the fourth day onwards, it entered into profits.
