Vidyasagar infused Telanganaism in BJP: Sanjay

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that former Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao is the leader who infused Telanganaism in the BJP.
He said that Vidyasagar Rao installed flexes much before the second phase of the Telangana Movement asking ‘Do you know when Telangana achieved freedom?’ and this led to a serious debate.
Addressing a function held in connection with the release of Ch. Vidyasagar Rao’s autobiography ‘UNIKA’ held on Sunday in Hyderabad, Sanjay said that Vidyasagar played a key role in taking the Telangana Movement forward. One can remember Vidyasagar whenever Telangana Liberation Day comes, he said. Vidyasagar is part of the movement which asked governments to hold the Telangana Liberation Day officially, he said.
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that Vidyasagar Rao played a key role in helping the BJP to strike roots in Telangana although he was born and raised in a Communist family.
Rajya Sabha Member Dr K. Laxman, former Congress MP T. Subbirami Reddy, and BJP leaders attended the function.
