Tamil actor Vijay Antony, known for choosing innovative and thought-provoking subjects, is back with his 25th film titled Bhadrakali in Telugu (Sakthi Thirumagan in Tamil). The actor was in Hyderabad on Wednesday to promote the film, and with his birthday falling on Thursday, July 24, he marked the occasion by announcing the release date — September 5.
Directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman, known for the critically acclaimed Aruvi, the film is being released in Telugu by Asian Suresh Entertainment.

Bhadrakali is touted to be a gritty political action thriller that delves into themes of rage, rebellion, and the fight against a deeply corrupt system. Produced by Ramanjaneyulu Javvaji, the film also features music composed by Vijay Antony himself.
At the promotional event, a unique gimmick caught everyone’s attention — the team arranged a long and short rifle with dummy bullets. “I wanted to do something eye-catching for my film, so I decided to fire dummy bullets,” said Vijay Antony. He first asked Suresh Babu to fire the gun, and then fired it himself.
Trupti is being introduced as the female lead with this film.
