A woman posted about casting couch experiences in Tamil cinema, stating that her friend faced many troubles. Ramya alleged that actor Vijay Sethupathi was involved and said the incident pushed her friend into depression. However, she later deleted the post. Vijay Sethupathi’s fans trolled her on social media following the deletion. Many questioned, “If you’re really accusing an actor, why delete the post?” Ramya responded that she removed it to protect her friend’s identity.
Vijay Sethupathi responded to the accusations, saying some people post such things just to get attention. “People have seen me for many years and they laughed after seeing her post. I know who I am and this kind of accusation can’t affect me. But because of such false posts, my family, friends and well-wishers felt bad,” said Vijay.
The actor mentioned that his team has filed a complaint with cybercrime authorities and is following up on it. “For the past seven years, I’ve faced many challenges. I’ve never been scared of anything. This kind of allegation doesn’t scare me either,” he added.
On the professional front, Vijay Sethupathi is working with Telugu director Puri Jagannath on a bilingual film currently being shot in Hyderabad. His latest Tamil release Thalaivan
thalaivi, which hit screens last Friday, has become a big success. The film is now being dubbed into Telugu and is set for release this week.
