Former MP Vijayashanthi is trying hard for the MLA quota MLC ticket in the women’s BC quota. It is learnt that Vijayashanthi met AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge on Thursday in New Delhi regarding this.
Vijayashanthl started her political career with the BJP and was part of the first BJP government. Later, Vijayashanthi floated the Thalli Telangana Party, which was later merged with the TRS and she was elected as MP from Medak.
She later left the TRS and joined the Congress. She later joined the BJP but joined the Congress before the 2024 Parliament elections. Vijayashanthi, who was active all these years suddenly became silent even though the Congress is in power. She silently began trying for a MLA quota MLC ticket later.
Meanwhile, former MLA Rekha Naik is trying to get an MLC ticket. It is learnt that Rekha Naik’s husband has been trying for an MLC ticket for his wife.
Rekha Naik met AICC secretaries Vishnunath and Vishwanathan seeking an MLC ticket.
Meanwhile, AICC Secretaries phoned important leaders. It is learnt that they phoned nearly 30 leaders. The leaders will meet AICC in-charge secretaries Vishnunath and Viswanathan face to face.
AICC members can now know the actual situation in their constituencies, that is, inquire about the implementation of schemes and the government’s performance.
The AICC members will ask for details on issues like the gap between cadres, leaders and the old and new leaders and the differences between them. The AICC team will prepare a report containing details given by leaders.
Congress leaders attended the meeting of AICC secretaries one by one held at the Gandhi Bhavan. It is learnt that the secretaries asked the leaders, “Are you ready for additional responsibilities in terms of the party? Do you have any other options? Do you have any idea that we can do this?”
