Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary explore a new take on parenthood in Santhana Prapthirasthu

Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary play the lead roles in the film Santhana Prapthirasthu. Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Hariprasad Reddy, the film is directed by Sanjeev Reddy, who previously directed ABCD starring Allu Sirish and the web series Aha Na Pellanta with Raj Tarun in the lead. The teaser of the film was recently launched by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who expressed his admiration: “The teaser looks promising. This film seems like a great entertainer, and I wish the movie great success.”
While a few films in Hindi have tackled the topic of infertility, Santhana Prapthirasthu is the first attempt in Telugu to explore this theme. Vikranth plays a software engineer dealing with work pressure while trying to build a life. He falls in love with Chandini Chowdary and marries her, but their happiness is short-lived as her father disapproves of their marriage. The couple’s struggles grow when Vikranth discovers his low sperm count, which prevents them from conceiving. Determined to become parents, Vikranth embarks on a 100-day journey to increase his sperm count, following medical advice and a strict regimen.
The makers describe the film as a blend of humour, emotion and fun. The chemistry between Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary is expected to be a highlight. The screenplay, written by Sheikh Dawood G (known for his work on films like Venkatadri Express, Express Raja and Ek Mini Katha), adds depth to the story. Santhana Prapthirasthu is a youth-driven family entertainer, set for a grand theatrical release soon.
