Village administration in disarray under Cong rule: Harish

The administration in villages is in disarray since the Congress came to power, said former Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao on Wednesday.
Addressing MPTC members, Sarpanchs and ZPTC members in the Dubbaka Assembly constituency, the Congress government has been concentrating on targeted attacks on opposition leaders instead of focusing on administration. The employees in Panchaya Raj institutions are unable to focus on administration. Villages are no longer being kept clean and tidy.
The former Minister was addressing at Atmiya meeting on the occasion of  the tenure of representatives of local bodies came to end on Wednesday.
Harish Rao said there were no funds to even fill the diesel tanks of gram panchayat tractors, he said, adding that the government was not paying salaries even to Anganwadi workers.
In the regime of the Congress, which came to power by making false promises, all systems in the state had failed.  
Salaries were also denied to the midday meals workers. In the otherwise prosperous Telangana, protests and suicides became order of the day.
The suicide of a farmer in Khammam district highlighted the miserable condition of farmers in the state under Congress rule, he said.
Rape cases, murders and looting have become the order of the day. There was no betterment in the administration other than victimisation of the political rivals, he said.
Payment of Rs 4,000 pension per month to senior citizens under Asara, 24×7 power supply to agriculture sector, KCR kit, RytuBandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi disbursement were stopped, he said.
The farmers are uncertain when they should raise paddy nurseries as they did not know when the government would release water for irrigation, he said.  There was no water in irrigation tanks, streams and ponds, he said, pointing out that the farmers were assured of irrigation facility under the KCR’s regime.  Power is being cut to the schools. The government hospitals have been ailing with various problems.
Dubbaka MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who presided over the meeting, told the elected people’s represenatives that their services to the rural Telangana were unforgettable. He lauded for walking shoulder to shoulder with KCr in the development of rural areas.
Later, he felicitated the local bodies’ elected people’s representatives and nominated representatives.
ZP chairperson RojaSarma, state SC and ST Commission Chairman BakkiVenkataiah, Municipal Chairman GanneVanita Bhumi Reddy, senior leader BompalliManohara Rao, ZPTCs, MPPs, PACS chairmen, MPTCs, former market committee chairmen and others were present at the AtmeeyaSammelan.
