In a move to foster international academic collaboration, the academic team from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), USA, visited GITAM Deemed to be University on Thursday. The delegation, led by VCU Dean Dr. Mohan Gupta, engaged in discussions with GITAM officials to explore potential avenues for joint academic and research initiatives.
The discussions covered a wide range of potential collaborations, including sharing expertise through research, consulting, and lectures across various disciplines, fostering mobility for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students for study and research opportunities and facilitating the exchange of educational materials, academic publications, and joint research projects.
GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Y. Goutham Rao provided valuable insights into the university’s vision and unwavering commitment to research. He emphasized their active implementation of the government’s new education policy and their robust science research infrastructure, showcasing their dedication to intellectual advancement.
The VCU team, impressed by GITAM’s vision and capabilities, expressed their strong interest in collaborating across various academic and research domains.

The meeting saw the participation of key representatives from GITAM, including School of Science Dean Prof. V.S. Krishna, School of Technology Dean Prof. Ch.
