In a bombshell announcement set to send shockwaves through the political landscape, TDP MLA and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has revealed plans to submit a comprehensive report on YCP’s alleged land acquisitions in Visakhapatnam to the State government. This exposé, dubbed the ‘Visakha Files’ and inspired by the sensational ‘Kashmir Files’, aims to uncover high-level corruption and land grabs in the coastal city.
Speaking to media people here on Sunday, Rao dropped the startling allegation that individuals at the Chief Secretary level were involved in the illicit land occupations. His revelations were met with gasps from the audience, highlighting the deep-rooted corruption purportedly entrenched in the system. “We are prepared to expose the full extent of this scandal,” Rao declared. “The people of Visakhapatnam deserve to know the truth about who has been exploiting their land.”
Rao’s allegations paint a grim picture of a city grappling with systematic corruption. He detailed instances where high-ranking officials allegedly manipulated land records and facilitated illegal acquisitions, enriching themselves at the expense of the public. The involvement of such senior bureaucrats suggests a widespread network of corruption that could have far-reaching implications for the current administration.
Amidst the gravity of his claims, Rao sought to reassure the public that justice would be served. He specifically addressed the contentious issue involving panchagramalu issue (five villages) Adavivaram, Venkatapuram, Vepagunta, Purushotha-puram, and Cheemalapalli (Panchagramalu), which has been a flashpoint for local unrest. “This issue will be resolved without any new encroachments,” he said, vowing to protect the rights of the affected communities.
