Vishal-starrer Rathnam will hit the cinemas on April 26

Action hero Vishal who had a considerate market in Telugu too has been struggling recently to draw decent openings in Telugu. His last solid hit was Ahimayudu. His last release Mark Antony became a success in Tamil but ended up as below average in Telugu. Vishal is currently doing a powerful action film, ‘Rathnam’ under the direction of Hari.
The makers of the movie recently announced the film’s title, besides unveiling a teaser called First Shot which is shot as a single shot which created buzz. This is the third movie in the combination of Vishal and Hari, after the success of Bharani and Pooja.
On Thursday, the makers announced the film’s release date. The film will be released worldwide on April 26th in Tamil and Telugu. Priya Bhavani Shankar is the leading lady in the movie, where Samuthirakani, Yogibabu and Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen in crucial roles.
Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad will score the music, while the cinematography is handled by M Sukumar. Along with Karthik Subbaraj, Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Zee Studios together are producing Rathnam, while Kalyan Subramaniam, Alankar Pandian are the co-producers.
