Vishnu inaugurates new road in 58th Division of Vja

Planning Board Vice-Chairman and Vijayawada-Central MLA Malladi Vishnu has said that after YSRC came to power, new roads were built in the entire constituency. On Saturday, Vishnu inaugurated a newly-constructed road in 58th Division Bharat Mata Colony at an estimated cost of Rs 1.8 crore. Deputy Mayor Shailaja Reddy and others were present on the occasion.

A photo gallery was displayed and Vishnu briefed the locals about the progress done in the colony through the Nadu-Nedu programme. Speaking on the occasion, Vishnu criticised the previous TDP government had completely failed to provide the necessary infrastructure to the people. But after YSRC came to power, all the divisions in the city are being developed by allocating funds equally on priority.

They have been paying special attention to the suburban areas, he explained that all the facilities like sewerage systems, good roads, drinking water, and electricity are being provided. He said that during the last three, Rs 13.79 crore was spent in the 58th division for various development works.

Of the various development works, Rs 3.30 crore drinking water pipeline works have been started recently for laying a 400 mm water pipeline for 3.5 km for the supply of Krishna River water. Also, it has been revealed that the construction work of stormwater drains has been taken up so that the roads on Thotavari street do not get flooded. On the other hand in Indira Nayak Nagar YSR Urban Health Center built at a cost of Rs 80 lakhs will be opened as soon as possible and the services will be made available to the people, he added.

DE (Engineering) Gurunatham, AE Arun Kumar, YSRC Leaders Aputu Srinivasa Reddy, Afroz, Bondili Shailaja, Topula Varalakshmi, VMC staff, party activists, and colony residents were present.
