The film ‘Laila’ is in the news for the wrong reasons. The film’s pre-release event was held on Sunday at a hotel in Hyderabad and actor Prudhvi’s comments on this event irked YSRCP people and from then they ran a hashtag #BoycottLaila. ‘Laila’ film’s lead actor Vishwak Sen and the producer Sahu Garapati held a media conference on Monday and said ‘sorry’ for Prudhvi’s comments.
On Sunday, Prudhvi, in his speech, said that they started the film with nearly 150 goats and when the film comes to an end, the goats become 11 only. This comment became political and YSRCP people started Boycott Laila campaign on the social media and it reached nearly 60,000.
“We don’t know what actor Prudhvi spoke about the event. We were at the front gate to receive chief guest Chiranjeevi garu,” said Vishwak Sen about the incident. He added he had seen the hashtag on Monday morning and he urged everyone that they put a lot of effort into this film and because of a single person, don’t kill the film. “The producer has put in many crores and I put a lot of effort in this film, especially for the lady get-up. I can’t tell people how to talk at the film event. More than that, when the actor is talking, we didn’t hear what he said, because he was at the front gate,” said Vishwak Sen.
On behalf of the actor’s comments, Vishwak Sen said ‘Sorry’. “I don’t know how we are being made scapegoats for a person’s comments, but still I am saying ‘sorry’,” said the actor. The film is releasing on February 14 and it is directed by Ram Narayan.
On Sunday in the same ‘Laila’ event, another comment by Chiranjeevi was also trending on the social media. Chiranjeevi was the chief guest where he said that he has known Vishwak Sen’s father Karate Raj for the past 18 years. He joined the Praja Rajyam Party when Chiru founded it. “Now, the Praja Rajyam has transformed into Jana Sena,” said Chiranjeevi. Everyone was surprised by Chiranjeevi’s comments. Chiranjeevi started the Praja Rajyam Party and later merged it with the Congress. After a few years, his younger brother Pawan Kalyan floated a new party Jana Sena and now Chiranjeevi is saying both are same. This comment is also trending on the social media.
At the same time, Chiranjeevi also officially announced that his next film is with director Anil Ravipudi and the shooting will start this summer. “Sahu Garapati is the producer along with my daughter Sushmitha Konidela,” said Chiranjeevi, at the event. He added that after a long time, he is doing a full entertainment film in Anil Ravipudi’s direction.
At the same event, Chiranjeevi said that the industry is in one compound. “Vishwak Sen is close to Balakrishna and sometimes he went to Tarak also. So, some people told me not to go to Vishwak’s film function. But I said, my son is a big fan of Suriya. So, can’t I attend my son’s film function? Someone posed the same question to Vishwak the other day and I appreciate Vishwak’s answer to it,” said Chiranjeevi. He added that the actors are all one, but the fans are fighting with each other.
For the first time, Chiranjeevi also mentioned the success of ‘Pushpa 2’ in this event. Everyone knows that the differences between Allu and Mega family. At this juncture, Chiru’s comment about ‘Pushpa’ also went viral. “I went to Balakrishna’s 50 years function. Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna and I are all very close and together even now. ‘Pushpa 2’ became a huge hit and I am proud of it. If one film becomes a hit, we the industry people should be happy,” said Chiranjeevi.
The 69-year-old actor said after seeing Vishwak Sen’s lady get-up, that it stole his heart. “You are looking very glamorous in it,” said Chiru. He added that he, Rajendra Prasad and Naresh played female get-ups in their career and all of them were hits. “I am sure this film is also going to be a big success,” said Chiru.
