Vishwambhara faces delay as makers opt for re-shoots

Must read

It’s not great news for Vishwambhara, the upcoming Chiranjeevi-starrer, as the film is currently undergoing re-shoots for some key scenes, according to sources. This fantasy-themed film was supposed to be completed long ago, but production is still ongoing at various locations.
Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor plays the antagonist in this film, which is directed by Bimbisara fame Mallidi Vassishta. Trisha, who plays the female lead, completed her portions long ago. However, the makers decided to reshoot certain scenes and requested her to return for additional filming.
Sources reveal that Trisha was displeased with the decision, citing scheduling conflicts. Despite initial reluctance, she eventually agreed and came to Hyderabad, allotting a few hours for the re-shoots.
The teaser, released during the Dasara festival last year, faced criticism due to substandard CGI. Even Chiranjeevi was reportedly dissatisfied with the teaser’s visual effects. Despite this, the makers continue to rely heavily on CGI and early footage has not received positive feedback from those who have seen it.
With the team now planning to announce the release date, promotions will begin soon after. However, concerns about the film’s visuals and production delays remain a talking point among fans and industry insiders.
