“It is a matter of pride that over 1,000 young people are receiving training in more than 20 trades at Kancharapalem ITI,” said MP Sribharat during the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh held at Kancharapalem ITI as part of the nationwide Skill Convocation programme. The event highlighted the achievements of students and the importance of skill development in the region, with prominent leaders Gandi Babji and Duvvarapu Rama Rao in attendance.
During the ceremony, six outstanding students from the ITI were recognised for their excellence in various trades, receiving invitations to Kaushal Bhavan in New Delhi for special acknowledgement. The event also honoured the parents of these talented students, celebrating their unwavering support and encouragement.
Addressing the gathering, MP Sribharat emphasized the significance of the training initiatives at Kancharapalem ITI. He stated, “Skills such as Mechanics (Motor Vehicles), Welding, Carpentry, Plumbing, and Stenography equip the youth to become strong contenders in the job market. It is essential for the skills they acquire to align with market demands, and I believe that with dedication and consistent effort, these students will achieve great success.”
The MP further underscored the critical role of ITIs in bridging the skill gap and preparing youth for the challenges of the real world. He pointed out the increasing demand for skilled talent in the state, driven by a favourable investment climate. “With the expanding opportunities in various sectors, ITI graduates will find ample prospects ahead,” he added.
The Kaushal Dikshant Samaroh not only celebrated the achievements of the students but also reinforced the commitment to skill development, ensuring that the youth of Visakhapatnam are well-prepared to meet the demands of the evolving job market.
