As part of a nationwide civil defence initiative spearheaded by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Visakhapatnam will conduct a large-scale mock drill on Wednesday to sensitise citizens on emergency preparedness and response protocols.
The drill, aimed at enhancing public awareness and inter-agency coordination during crisis situations, will take place at 4 p.m. near Queen Mary School in Urban Area 1.
A war-like environment will be simulated during the exercise, complete with air raid sirens, power shutdowns, and evacuation drills.
