VMC chief inspects NH stretch ahead of beautification

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar, along with officials from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the VMC, inspected the National Highway stretch from Benz Circle to Ramavarappadu Ring for beautification works on Thursday. The officials visited the Mahatma Gandhi Road (MG Road), Eluru Road junction, Benz Circle and service road.
Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar stated that since Benz Circle Junction is one of the major ones, efforts should be made to increase greenery and reduce pollution there. He asked the officials to ensure that side drains are cleared of silt and that there are no obstructions to the flow of water in the drains.
During the inspection, Swapnil was accompanied by Additional Commissioner (Projects) K Satyavati, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) G Srujana, Executive Engineers ASN Prasad, Chandrasekhar, Deputy City Planner Jubin Cheeran Roy, National Highway Site Engineer Anil, and others.
