Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vivek Yadav has expressed satisfaction with the successful organisation of Voters’ Special Camps as part of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2025. He emphasised the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) commitment to ensuring accurate and transparent voter lists in the State.
Addressing the media, the CEO stated that the draft voter list was published on October 29, and the process for objections, corrections, and new registrations would continue until November 28. As part of this initiative, special camps are being held on November 23 and 24.
On Saturday, Vivek Yadav visited camps in the Vijayawada East and Central Assembly constituencies, including those at Bishop Azariah Girls’ High School and Montessori Degree College. During his inspection, he reviewed online voter registration processes and guided Booth Level Officers (BLOs), supervisors, and Assistant Electoral Officers.
Speaking on the occasion, he encouraged youths aged 18 and 19 to register as voters and urged political party leaders and booth-level agents to actively motivate young citizens to enrol.
He further stated that all submissions, including objections and new applications, would be thoroughly verified, with the final electoral roll set to be published on January 6, 2025. Changes and objections would be addressed by December 24, he added.
Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner H.M. Dhyanachandra, Vijayawada Divisional Revenue Officer (RDO) K. Chaitanya, and other officials were present during the inspections.
