Now, the latest news is that the film went on floors in Mysuru after a puja, and Mohanlal has joined the set. According to reports, bad weather prompted the crew to change their initial schedule.

The story of Vrushabha is said to revolve around the relationship between a father and son. Telugu actor Roshan Meka will be essaying the role of Mohanlal’s son in this pan-India film. The movie is anticipated to feature an ensemble cast and exhilarating action sequences to captivate the audience from all languages.

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor, will be making her acting debut with Vrushabha. Recently, Karan Johar expressed his excitement and wished her best for the film. Shanaya was expected to make her debut with Karan’s Bedhadak, but the film got stalled after one of the lead actors joined Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s web show, Stardom.

Vrushabha also marks the acting debut of singer Zahrah S Khan, who is known for her music videos. She is rumoured to play a warrior princess, representing Shanaya’s past. Helmed by Kannada filmmaker Nandakishore, Vrushabha is bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, and Connekkt Media. The film is set for a worldwide release on more than 4,500 screens.

Of late, Mohanlal has also been seen doing films in other South languages too. He has featured in movies like Janatha Garage (Telugu), Kaappaan (Tamil) and Manamantha (Telugu). Meanwhile, Mohanlal will also be seen in a cameo role in Nelson’s highly-anticipated action-comedy film Jailer – starring Rajinikanth, alongside Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan and Tamannaah Bhatia.
