Adivi Sesh has firmly established himself as a talented actor, earning recognition as a Pan-Indian star with films like Major. However, the actor has been taking his time to complete his projects, leading to no releases in the past two years. Sesh has been fully immersed in shooting his upcoming films, with the most anticipated being G2, the sequel to his earlier hit Goodachari.
Much like its predecessor, G2 is an action-packed spy drama. While Goodachari was directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, with Adivi Sesh contributing the story, G2 is helmed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, with Sesh providing the screenplay. Not only is G2 Sesh’s most ambitious and high-budget film to date, but it is also poised to be a landmark project in the Indian spy thriller genre.
The makers of G2 announced that Wamiqa Gabbi will play the female lead, starring opposite Adivi Sesh. Wamiqa, who is already a familiar face in Telugu cinema thanks to her debut film Bhale Manchi Roju opposite Sudheer Babu, has also been making waves in Bollywood. However, her recent Hindi film Baby John didn’t perform well at the box office.
Wamiqa has wrapped up a European shooting schedule with Adivi Sesh and expressed her enthusiasm about being part of the project. “I’m beyond excited to be part of the incredible journey of G2. Working with such a talented cast and crew inspires me to push boundaries and bring fresh energy to my character,” she shared.
The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, with several key scenes already shot featuring the actor. With its gripping narrative and powerful performances, G2 promises to elevate the Goodachari franchise to new heights.
