Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan emphasised the importance of Solid and Liquid Resource Management (SLRM) for the State, highlighting the pressing issue of garbage clogging irrigation canals. He stated that significant wealth, amounting to crores of rupees, can be generated from waste management, creating employment for lakhs of people. The Deputy Chief Minister visited the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Commissioner’s office in Tadepalli on Friday and attended a photo exhibition on SLRM. In his address, Pawan Kalyan mentioned that in rural areas alone, Rs 2,643 crores worth of wealth could be generated annually, employing 2.42 lakh people. He stressed the need for increased awareness about SLRM, stating, “Garbage has become an inseparable part of our daily lives. While previous governments have made efforts in this area, the NDA government is committed to advancing SLRM with a strong determination to make it successful.”
Highlighting the cultural significance of natural resources, he said, “Our country holds traditional values and regards the Panchaboothalu (five elements) as sacred.
