Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy has said that the Water Grid works, taken up at a cost of Rs 350 crore, are being carried out on war footing and promised to provide drinking water to every household in Bethamcherla in one month.
The Finance Minister inaugurated the newly-constructed secretariat building at Bethamcherla on Saturday and unveiled the pylon in this regard. He thanked industrialist and EV Sujata Sharma for donating the land for the construction of the secretariat building. The Secretariat building was constructed at a cost of Rs 40 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Finance Minister said that the water grid works were taken up at a cost of Rs 350 crore and being carried out on war footing to provide purified drinking water to Bethamcherla town.
Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that efforts are being made for the construction of two rail-over bridges. He said that he would discuss the matter of the construction of two rail-over bridges with the railway officials soon.
Taking a dig at the TDP leaders, Buggana said that TDP Dhone in-charge Dharmavaram Subba Reddy is making hollow promises to the people to win the next election. Attributing the hike of essential commodities to the YSRCP regime is an unwise act, he criticised, adding that the AP state’s progress continued during the Coronavirus pandemic also.
The TDP’s ‘Chandrababu Surety – Bhavishyattuku Guarantee’ programme is a farce, he flayed. The Finance Minister recalled the TDP regime’s failure to implement a complete agriculture loan waiver and DWCRA loan waiver. The TDP has never fulfilled all its assurances, he claimed.
“The YSRCP regime is sincerely implementing many flagship schemes including ‘Amma Vod’i, ‘Cheyuta’, ‘Chedodu’, ‘Rythu Bharosa’, and social security pensions as per the assurance given to the people” the Finance Minister asserted.
Buggana said that in order to give one and a half-cent of land to all 32,000 ration card holders in Dhone constituency, 785 acres of land is required, adding that the government is committed to allocating house sites to the eligible poor. He said that BC Residential boy school, ITI, and Polytechnic were constructed in Dhone constituency and asked whether they are not part of the development.
Betamcherla municipal chairman Chalam Reddy, MP Buggana Nagabhushanam Reddy, Valmiki Federation director Muralikrishna and state finance corporation director Khaja were among those who attended the programme.
