In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old youth from Machilipatnam lost his life in an accidental incident. Polukonda Lenin Naga Kumar, a resident of Chintagunta Palem in Machilipatnam, died after he accidentally fell into Silver Fall in Canada on Monday.
The youth, who was identified as Lenin Naga Kumar, had been living in Canada for the past two years, pursuing his MS studies at Lakehead University. His father, Polukonda Srinivasa Rao, is employed in the Treasury department, while his mother runs a beauty parlour in Machilipatnam.
Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Bala Showry, who was informed of the incident, took the matter to the notice of the Minister for External Affairs, Jaya Shankar, and Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Varma (Ottawa), urging them to arrange for sending the body of Naga Kumar to Machilipatnam.
