Former MLA and Telugu Desam Party politburo member Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Thursday, asked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy whether he could give reply to the issues raised by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the affidavit filed before the Supreme Court on his paternal uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case.

Talking to media persons at the party headquarters here, Bonda Uma said that the issues raised by the CBI were shocking. “As the CBI is revealing the facts about YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy’s directions to the first accused Gangi Reddy, second accused Sunil Yadav, third accused Gajjala Uma Shankar Reddy, fourth accused Dastagiri and the fifth accused D Sivasankar Reddy on the murder of Viveka, the time has come for Jagan Mohan Reddy to break his silence on the matter,” he said.

Calling the YSRCP leader, Kodali Nani, as the Gudivada Goonda, he asked him to realise the fact about the benefits to Jagan Mohan Reddy in the murder of Viveka as revealed in the CBI affidavit. Bonda Uma said that if Jagan still did not open his mouth, ultimately he would have to face the consequences.

Bonda Uma asked Jagan Mohan Reddy to specify as to why he withdrew the petition seeking CBI inquiry into the murder after he became the Chief Minister. “Also, why did Jagan misuse his power to prevent the CBI officials who are investigating the case? Jagan should also explain as to why he did not allow the special investigative team (SIT), formed by then chief minister Chandrababu Naidu to probe the case.” Stating that Avinash and his father, Bhaskar Reddy, were to appear before the CBI in the case, the TDP leader asked what Kodali Nani would say about the issues raised by the CBI in the affidavit.
