Allari Naresh is playing the lead in the upcoming film Bachchalamalli, which is scheduled to release on December 20. Amritha Aiyer stars as the female lead, while Subbu Mangadevi directs the film. Talking about this film, Naresh shared an interesting anecdote about the film and how the director worried about the female lead. Amritha Aiyer’s earlier film Hanuman was a huge blockbuster, where she played opposite Teja Sajja. After that film, she signed on for Bachchalamalli. “After a couple of days of shooting, our director was worried. When I asked him what was on his mind, he said that the lead actress, Amritha Aiyer, was not responding to his calls, and her phone was switched off,” said Allari Naresh.
He added that the director thought that after delivering a huge hit like Hanuman, she might not be interested in doing Bachchalamalli. “I told the director not to worry about it, as she would definitely do our film,” Naresh recalled. However, the director still tried to call her, and when she didn’t answer, he assumed she was not going to do the film.
“But after a few days, Amritha called back and told us that she had gone to the USA for the promotion of her Hanuman film, which is why she had switched off her phone,” said Allari Naresh, adding that the director was relieved after she called back.
Allari Naresh plays an intense role in Bachchalamalli, and he is confident about the film’s success. “Generally, I feel tense before any of my film releases, but for this film’s release, I feel a sense of joy, as I already sense its success,” said Allari Naresh. The film is hitting the screens on December 20 and Razesh Danda is producing it.
