Rithvik Dhanjani, a sought-after actor, recently visited the pearl of the Middle East. You are unerringly right — it’s Dubai!

After exploring the hotspots of the country, the only feeling he was left with, was one of enlivening. He strongly feels there is something magnetic about the city that inevitably drew him there.

He elucidates, “The trip to Dubai was nostalgia meets luxury — very few fanatics know that Dubai is actually my hometown. I have studied there! It’s totally transformed now.”
Many of its experiences scream history: for example, the Pavitra Rishta fame highlights “The Dubai Jewellery! It’s mixed with a touch of luxury and artistry. I make it a point to always return to Dubai and buy opulent pieces for my mother and sister. I took back a gold chain and a bracelet for my mother this time. Even if you have little knowledge about jewellery pieces, Dubai will somehow attract you to it.”

From the times he has been there and knows of the UAE, he explains, “It was always known as a multinational port. The most beautiful aspect of the country is that you’ll never feel discriminated against. To begin with, there is a global village and a gentle suggestion: please keep yourself free for two consecutive days because you’ll be preoccupied there. It’s like hopping from North America to Lebanon to Greece under one shelter!”

More enticed by Airbnbs than hotels, Rithvik just loves inspecting remarkable stays. “It gives us a homely stay; you have a kitchen of your own. We opted for Jumeirah Beach Residence, overlooking the Dubai Eye. I am a completely different personality, by the way; when working under intense pressure, no matter what, I just can’t think of travelling. I perform better when under pressure!”

He had a scary moment too when he was in Dubai. He chickened out of trying skydiving! A major phobia of free falls held him back once more. Although, no regrets. Describing more about his stay in Dubai, he says, “I was out of the paradox of my mind when in Dubai. The olden cultures that we aren’t aware of, we get to learn about them. One of my most liberating experiences is whenever I go to the mountains!

I can’t wait to reconnoitre on a bike trip to Leh-Ladakh anytime soon. But I just can’t forget my work trip to Israel. I felt the holiness there soon after. This probably sounds contradictory, but as soon as you visit Tel Aviv, the nightlife there is unbeatable. You can float in the salty waters too! You won’t believe it, but the stones on the streets smell of flowers.”

Overall, the beautiful landscapes and westernisation that Rithvik Dhanjani experienced on his recent vacation left him enthralled at every turn, and he can’t wait to fly again to a foreign country once more.
