As the probe into the Delhi liquor scam intensifies investigation agencies are looking at what happened to the money after the transactions were over.After it was found that most of the money came from South India, investigation started from all angles including probing the close associates of the people involved.

The CBI and the ED are reportedly probing the links of Dubai NRI Shareef Ifthekar who is allegedly a close associate of Kavitha.Investigating agencies have launched a probe against the NRI who is a resident of Hyderabad based on a complaint by a BJP leader. Pictures are circulating indicating the proximity of the NRI with MLC Kavitha.

The NRI who is a resident of Shamshabad is allegedly closely associated with Kavitha and with a former Delhi minister and AAP Telangana affairs in-charge Somnath Bharti.The probe agencies are reportedly collecting details on how the associates and Kavitha travelled several times in special flights arranged by the NRI. Photos of his associates are being circulated. He allegedly makes available special flights to political leaders from time to time.

The NRI reportedly has a 20-acre farmhouse near the Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad where dinners and entertainment are allegedly arranged for all political leaders.
Investigating agencies intend to interrogate Kavitha along with Shareef soon. The agencies are trying to uncover the transactions that took place from his bank accounts abroad.
Sources said that Shareef has denied involvement in the Delhi liquor case.

When ‘The Pioneer’ tried to contact him the call was not answered. An AAI report says that Kavitha came to New Delhi many times in flights arranged by the said NRI.

The AAP leader and Kavitha are also reported to have met several times and it is alleged that Somanadh Bharati paved the way for Kavitha and her associates to enter the Delhi liquor business.

BJP leaders alleged that Kavitha had come to New Delhi several times in special flights, booked a suite in the Oberoi Hotel for six months and framed Delhi’s liquor business policy there.
