Why are you selling UoH lands, Sanjay asks CM

Must read

The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, asked the Telangana Government, “Why is there a need to sell UoH lands? Who gave you the right to sell them? Why should governance depend on selling public assets? If that is the case, even KA Paul can run the government. Why didn’t you announce that you would sell lands and other public assets before the elections? If you had, you wouldn’t have got even a single vote. Therefore, the decision to auction UoH lands must be withdrawn immediately. The BJP fully supports the students demanding this.”
Sanjay lashed out at the police lathi-charge on students trying to protect Hyderabad Central University (HCU) lands.

“Does the Chief Minister have no humaneness? Students are protesting to safeguard HCU lands, and you are beating them like criminals. Why are you dragging lady students by their hair and beating them cruelly? Is this your governance? Is your job only to sell public lands worth billions?” Sanjay said.
“No one who saw the lathi-charge on students at Hyderabad Central University on Sunday can control themselves. Everyone’s eyes welled up with tears. But Congress leaders think they have done something great,” he said.
Lashing out at the police, Sanjay said, “When ABVP students were protesting, you stormed into their rooms and assaulted them. Do you think you can unleash tyranny at will? Action must be taken against the police officers responsible for the lathi-charge. An inquiry into the incident must be conducted immediately. And what is the Education Commission doing?”
On GHMC local body MLC elections, he said that the Congress, the BRS and the AIMIM are conspiring together.
The Congress and the BRS are trying to ensure the AIMIM candidate’s victory. These two joined hands at the southern states meeting held in the name of delimitation, and are now coordinating with each other to organise a public meeting in Hyderabad. They are backing the AIMIM candidate in the GHMC Local Body MLC elections. The BRS has around 70 votes, but it is not contesting. The Congress, too, has not fielded a candidate. Isn’t this clear evidence of their collusion?
