Vijayawada: On Wednesday, several prominent leaders from Andhra Pradesh, including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh, and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, extended their congratulations to Donald Trump following his victory in the 2024 US Presidential Elections. Taking to the social media platform X, the Chief Minister congratulated Trump on his electoral win and expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of Indo-US relations under his leadership. “I congratulate @realDonaldTrump on his victory in the US Presidential Elections and wish him success as he prepares to lead his country forward,” Chandrababu wrote. He highlighted the strengthening of the Indo-US partnership during Trump’s first tenure and expressed optimism that the leadership of both Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will foster even greater cooperation between the two nations.
“With the leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji and President Trump, I am confident our two nations will further strengthen their ties and foster greater cooperation,” the CM added.
Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh, who had recently visited the US to attract investments for Andhra Pradesh, also congratulated Trump on his re-election. Lokesh’s message on social media also celebrated the victory of JD Vance, a fellow Republican who was elected Vice President. “My hearty congratulations to President-elect @RealDonaldTrump for a historic triumph as he takes charge as the 47th President of the United States. This is a very special moment for the people of Andhra Pradesh, especially West-Godavari district, as @JDVance is elected Vice President,” Lokesh posted. He also noted that Usha Vance, the Second Lady designate, has roots in Andhra Pradesh. “We’re proud as people of AP origin continue to make their mark in various spheres across the world.”
TDP MLA from Hindupur, Nandamuri Balakrishna, also congratulated Trump on his victory, calling it the start of a “new era” in US-India relations. In his statement, Balakrishna stressed the importance of continuing the strong ties between the two countries, particularly in areas of mutual cooperation and development. “This victory marks the beginning of a new era in US-India relations,” Balakrishna said, adding that he hoped for continued cooperation for the welfare, development, protection, and security of Telugu people in America.
