Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been breaking traditions and now all eyes are on whether he will welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit here on July 8. Sources said that the CM has not yet decided on whether to receive the PM or attend the foundation stone laying function of the railway wagon overhauling centre in Kazipet.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao may receive the PM at the airport but not attend the Warangal meeting.

Sources said that BRS leaders are protesting against the Centre’s discrimination over setting up an overhauling centre and calling it a ‘Repair Shop.’

Bifurcation promises have not been fulfilled. While BRS leaders have been criticising the PM, KCR has not uttered a word against Modi for almost two months now.

KCR raises the topic of BJP only when he is touring outside Telangana in Maharashtra that too about ‘Make in India.’During his public meetings in Telangana, the CM has spared the BJP and Modi. Even on Palamuru Rangareddy LIS, KCR criticised only Congress leaders for filing cases, but didn’t mention Modi’s name for not conferring national project status.

Interestingly, the CM who skipped all meetings of President Droupadi Murmu, attended a meeting on Tuesday commemorating Alluri Sitaramaraju’s 125th celebrations. Earlier, he had received the President twice at the airport but never attended any meetings.

KCR who opposed the presidential candidature of Murmu and supported the Congress candidate said on Tuesday that celebrations with Murmu as the chief guest are good. He also called Kishan Reddy his friend.

But Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said that Modi should apologise for failing to fulfil bifurcation promises during his visit on July 8. Sources said that the CM may not visit Warangal but couldn’t confirm if he would go to the airport. There is still time to decide, the sources said.
