Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that recruitment to 563 Group 1 posts would be completed by March 31, marking a significant milestone in Telangana’s efforts to provide employment opportunities.
Speaking at an event where he distributed cheques under the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme, the Chief Minister emphasized his government’s commitment to supporting civil services hopefuls and addressing unemployment in the state.
Revanth highlighted the challenges faced by the state’s unemployed youth over the past decade, stating, “We achieved statehood for Telangana to fulfil the aspirations of our youth, particularly job opportunities. However, the last 10 years saw immense struggles due to lack of employment.”
The Chief Minister distributed cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to 20 civil services aspirants from Telangana who qualified for the Mains examination. The financial assistance, he said, is part of the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme aimed at encouraging more candidates from Telangana to excel in the civil services exam. “Our goal is to see Telangana youth leading in civil services, just as candidates from Bihar have set an example. This help is a motivation from the government, and we hope all hopefuls will work hard, attend interviews and secure success,” Revanth said.
Highlighting his government’s achievements, the Chief Minister said that 55,143 posts in government departments were filled in the first year of his administration, an achievement he called “unprecedented in the country.”
He said that Group 1 exams, which had not been conducted for 14 years, were successfully held, overcoming numerous hurdles and conspiracies.
Revanth also assured that the government is adhering to the job calendar and prioritizing the future of youth.
“We hope to reach a point where Telangana is recognized for having the highest number of candidates selected for civil services in the country. Every step we take is geared towards this,” he added.
The Chief Minister underscored Telangana’s emergence as a model for the country, citing the government’s initiatives for employment generation and youth empowerment.
He reaffirmed the administration’s readiness to support civil services hopefuls in every possible way, ensuring that Telangana’s talent continues to shine at the national level.
