Minister for Tribal Welfare and Women & Child Welfare, Gummidi Sandhya Rani, has stressed the government’s commitment to improving the security and welfare of contract and outsourcing employees in Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs), by recognising their importance. She made the announcement during the Question and Answer session in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on Wednesday.
The Minister said a total of 428 posts have been sanctioned in all ITDAs, with 193 individuals working as regular employees. In the remaining 235 vacant positions, 301 outsourcing employees have been appointed. Currently, there are 494 employees working in the 428 posts, said the Minister.
The government will take immediate action to enhance job security for the contract and outsourcing workers serving in ITDAs, acknowledging their services with respect. The recruitment process will be examined in accordance with legal standards, considering eligibility and service tenure. The government also plans to strengthen the management of human resources in ITDAs to enhance the efficiency of these institutions.
Minister Sandhya Rani reiterated the government’s firm resolve regarding tribal welfare and assured that all necessary measures would be taken to protect the rights of contract and outsourcing employees in the ITDAs, during the Legislative Council session.
