BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is conducting constituency wise meetings. In a series of scheduled meetings, KCR will meet BRS leaders and activists from all constituencies to discuss the way forward. On Thursday, hundreds of BRS supporters from Armoor and Huzurabad came to Erravelli to meet their leader. KCR warmly greeted them and posed for photos with them. KCR assured his supporters that there is no need for any worry. “Our 25-year journey for Telangana is far from over. Just as the people once brought NTR back to power, they will support the BRS with even greater enthusiasm. The day when we return is not far away,” he declared amidst cheers.
He said the Congress government is faltering by the day, and likened its performance to descending a staircase. KCR emphasised that the BRS’s strength lies in its dedicated workers, who are capable of becoming leaders themselves. “The BRS has resilient workers and we aim to groom them into leaders,” he announced. In an address to the public at his Erravelli residence, KCR reaffirmed his commitment to the state’s development. Addressing the outcome of the recent LS elections, KCR remarked, “The people, misled by the Congress’s false promises have unfortunately experienced a setback. It is akin to abandoning a milch buffalo for a barren one as the people in our villages say.” He expressed concern over the discontinuation of several key BRS schemes like the CM’s Relief Fund, Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR kit and Rythu Bandhu. “The people are already missing our schemes and are dissatisfied with the Congress,” he said. Reflecting on the 15-year struggle for Telangana’s statehood and the subsequent decade of self-governance, KCR emphasised the remarkable progress made and the goals that lie ahead. “Achieving the lofty goal of Telangana involved numerous sacrifices. The honour of serving as Chief Minister pales in comparison to the pride in our state’s accomplishments,” KCR said. He reminded the audience of the dire state Telangana was in under previous administrations when essential resources like drinking water and electricity were scarce.
