Winning hearts through his positivity & performance

Must read

In an exclusive interview with The Pioneer, content creator-singer Anirudh Sharma discusses his life after being engaged, the most challenging phase of his career, and more.

There’s no dearth of content creators in India. Each genre has its own set of creators. It isn’t easy to leave an impression on the audience right away. Firstly, one must find out what’s lacking in the market, and secondly, they must tap into themselves. It’s all about your personality and delivering consistently to your set of audience.

Anirudh Sharma, one of India’s most popular content creators cracked this formula well ahead of most people. Initially, being a content creator wasn’t on his list. As a 17-year-old, Anirudh was clocking in countless hours to sustain himself. He used to hustle so hard that he’d merely survive on two hours of sleep. He says all that struggles laid the foundation for him to be disciplined and focused.

How often do we get to hear stories of two popular content creators falling deeply in love? Anirudh’s fiance—Mrunal Panchal is also a content creator with a massive following of 4.8 million on Instagram

They fell in love in quite a filmy way. It was the gram that connected Anirudh and Mrunal. Last year, the duo got engaged and their fans couldn’t contain their excitement whatsoever.
“Life hasn’t changed after engagement,” begins Anirudh. “I feel if both of you are friends first, even though you get married, nothing would change. Life is the same as it was before.”

The Mahiya singer comes from the Musical.ly era. He’s been around for a very long time now. As you know, a lot of things have changed on social media in the past decade. You’ve got reels, live streams, vlogs, and whatnot. We asked the creator to talk about the changes he noticed over the course of a decade.

“Yes, I feel that over a period of time social media has just become the place to hype about yourself,” reflects Anirudh. “Which shouldn’t be the case. People follow you and notice you for the interesting things that you do in your day to day life. And I feel that you should be crystal clear with them and their expectations.”

In this exclusive interview with The Pioneer, Anirudh Sharma takes a trip down memory lane and gives us a look at the most challenging phase of his career.
He continues: “The most crucial phase of my career was when I made the decision to leave Canada behind and come back to India because I didn’t have anything planned out as to how I’d survive in India. That was the most difficult phase. Mrunu was very supportive, and she didn’t make me feel even for a second that I am alone in this journey.”

The composer says his tryst with music started during the Covid-19 lockdown. Of course, lockdown gave us all that rare chance to look into ourselves and reflect deeply. A lot of us had plenty of time in our hands. We are all aware of the bad times that Covid-19 gave us, but on a brighter note, the pandemic helped us understand ourselves. In the singer’s case, he rediscovered his passion for singing.

“I had a knack for music since the beginning, but during the lockdown, I discovered it and I started working on it. People around me had also encouraged me to go ahead,” shares the young creator.

Out of all his compositions, he says, Kaise Kahu is very close to his heart.
Why you ask? “Because that is what my personality is all about!” informs the singer.
Talking about the role Mrunal played in his professional growth, he shares that she’s always been supportive. “I always go to her when I am in a dilemma or am confused about making decisions. She’s always there, encouraging me to do whatever I feel like.”

Pretty soon, Mrunal Panchal and Anirudh Sharma are soon to be married, and we thought it’d be great to find out what the creator thinks about the institution of marriage.
He comments, “I feel marriage is nothing but a step ahead of what we have been carrying out through these 4-5 years. I don’t feel that if two people know each other in and out, then marriage would make a big difference. Even after marriage, it is the same. It is just that you are officially tagged as husband and wife.”

“I don’t think that I don’t want people to remember me,” affirms Anirudh, and he wraps up by saying, “I want people to remember my work and the positivity I have spread in their life through my work and my personality.”
