The police arrested two persons who are the recovery agents of a Non-banking Financial Company (NBFC) for harassing and threatening a woman for not paying loan instalments.
Superintendent of Police L Subba Rayudu told the media here on Friday that a woman software engineer, who is working in a firm in Bangalore, took a loan from a Loan App in Hyderabad for her financial needs. She failed to pay the six instructions of her loan.
The recovery agents of the Finable Technology Loan App Company abused her, her mother and her brother for not paying the loan instalment. They morphed the photos of the woman in an objectionable manner and sent them to her via WhatApp. The recovery agents threatened her to send the morphed photos to all her friends and contacts.
However, she paid the instalment for her loan. The women SWE complained to the Sullurpet police on December 25 about the harassment and sending of morphed photos to the police.
The police team supervised by DSP G Chenhubabu and led by CI Muralikrishna arrested Finable Techolology branch college team manager Maraka Bharat Yadav and Collection team member Puttamshetti Ramakrishna. The SP warned of taking stringent action against NBFC or Loan APP recovery agents for their resort harassment of loan recovery.
