A woman and her daughter were run over by a train when they were crossing the railway track at Atmakur railway bridge in Atmakur on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased Fatima and her daughter Gousya were residents of Ponnur village in Guntur district. They came here to attend ‘Rottela Panduga’. When they were
crossing the railway track at Atmakur, the MaduraiNizamuddin express train ran over them.
Both the mother and her daughter were killed instantaneously. The railway police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH for postmortem.
