Women assured of all protection against harassment

Ramagundam Police Commissioner M Srinivas on Monday emphasised that the police would act as a shield for the protection of women. On Monday, during an event at the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate office, he unveiled awareness posters related to ragging, workplace harassment, social media harassment, and the importance of parents’ awareness about children.
Speaking on the occasion, the Police Commissioner made it clear that any individual who harassed women or female students through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Telegram, or engaged in blackmail, would not be spared. He assured strict action against the offenders, regardless of who they were.
He also stated that it is every woman’s right to work freely and safely, and that the safety of children, students, and women is their primary goal.
He urged anyone facing trouble not to be afraid, to stay courageous, and to immediately contact Dial 100 or inform the local police.
He also shared contact details for the She Teams, stating that people can reach the police via WhatsApp at 6303923700, Facebook, She Team Ramagundam, Twitter, and Instagram.
The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Admin C Raju, Special Branch ACP Raghavendra Rao, Mancherial Zone City In-Charge SI Hima, and She Team staff from the Peddapalli-Mancherial Zone.
