Speaking to the media, Ishita Kishore said it was a matter of seconds. People did not let me check marks and I urge people preparing for examinations to be disciplined and to maintain a schedule. Although I worked for the corporate sector I knew my passion was in governance.

Garima Lohia said that during the covid pandemic, her preparation started through online sources and newspapers. She credited her success to her mother who helped her prepare from books on basics.

Uma Harathi who hails from Telangana said, “It was a five-year journey and now I am happy. I appeared for the interview last time. First I learnt how to write better answers and letters. I changed my option to Geography. I did not score better and I switched to Anthropology. My friends who cleared UPSC gave me inputs which helped. We must learn the required portions. I used to run, play badminton and cook which diverted my mind. My priorities are women and the education sector which are low-hanging fruits in social justice. The Internet was my source of study. ”

However, in Hyderabad CSB IAS Academy Director Bala Lalitha said that Telugu students have been improving every year and in coming years their ambition is to make 500 students from Telugu states qualify in UPSC exams.

GV Pavan Datta bagged the 22nd rank and Sri Sai Ashrith Shakhamuri was ranked 40. There are another 17 Telugu students who bagged ranks between 200 and 885.
