After the phenomenal success of KGF, Kannada cinema has gained international recognition, and Yash has become a global star. Now, he is back with Toxic, a high-budget venture that is already making history. This is the first large-scale Indian film to be conceptualised, written and filmed in both English and Kannada. The film will also be dubbed into multiple Indian and international languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Written and directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is set to redefine cross-cultural storytelling. Shooting in both English and Kannada ensures authenticity for Indian audiences while making the film accessible worldwide.
“Our vision for Toxic was to craft a narrative that resonates authentically with both Indian and global audiences,” says director Geetu Mohandas. The film is jointly produced by Venkat Narayana and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
The international crew includes action choreographer JJ Perry, known for his work in John Wick and Fast & Furious. Last month, on Yash’s birthday, the team released a Birthday Peek, offering a glimpse into Toxic’s world. The teaser generated significant excitement, showcasing the film’s massive scale and international-standard production values.
