Younger, married woman found dead The police suspect it is a case of murder due to sexual jealousy

A youngster and a married woman were found dead under suspicious circumstances at Seethagondi hamlet under Gudhatnoor mandal in the district on Sunday. The incident has been posing a challenge to the police. 

The deceased are identified as Mohammad Rehman (30) and Ashwini (26). While Rehman hailed from Bhuktapur, Ashwini from Sundarayyanagar in Adilabad town. 

The police said that the duo had suffered head injuries. It is suspected that they could have been murdered two days ago and dumped on the spot. The duo went missing two days ago. But no police complaint was filed. Ashwin had two children aged below eight years. 

The police registered a case based on the complaint filed by Rehman’s brother. 

The police, however, have not yet confirmed that it was a case of murder. But, the police expressed suspicion that it could be a case of murder. The duo could have been murdered and dumped at Seethagondi hamlet. 

The police arrived at the scene of the crime. A sniffer dog was pressed into service. The Clues team collected evidence at the scene. Sexual jealousy could have been the motive behind the incident, it is suspected. 

The incident created a flutter in the village. The police reportedly took a man into custody for interrogation.
