The Congress high command summoned Telangana Congress leaders to New Delhi and they would go on Sunday. It is learnt that the high command has also invited Congress leaders from Khammam and Mahbubnagar also as Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao are meeting Rahul Gandhi on Monday.
The Youth Congress has decided to conduct its plenary from July 11 in Telangana. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Telangana Youth Congress President Shivsena Reddy said that the Youth Congress plenary is the first of its kind. He said that the plenary would discuss the ‘anti-people’ policies of the Centre.
Shivasena said the Youth Congress will play a key role in the upcoming elections in Telangana like in Karnataka. He said that they have appointed Youth Congress in-charges in 60 constituencies and will appoint in-charges in the remaining constituencies too. He said the party will give tickets to Youth Congress leaders.
‘3 BRS Ministers in touch with Cong’
Three BRS Ministers are in touch with the Congress, TPCC Working President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said. Rejecting the camp aign against the Congress that some leaders will quit the Cong ress, Mahesh said that Telan gana in-charge Manikrao Thakre had enquired about it. He said that Thakre enquired about the medi cal status of Nalgonda MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and spoke to Sangareddy MLA T. Jagga Reddy, who has been maintaining dista nce from the party for the last few months. Thakre also met senior leader K. Jana Reddy at his resid ence on Saturday and discussed the changes in Telangana politics.
