A 19-year-old youth named Prakash committed suicide after losing money to friends through IPL betting in Ranga Reddy district on Thursday.
The incident happened at Narlaguda Thanda coming under the Giraigutta Thanda of Farooqnagar mandal in Shadnagar constituency.
Police said that Prakash is the younger son of Angoth Amaru of Narlaguda Thanda who has two sons and a daughter.
During the IPL match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on Wednesday night, Prakash, engaged in betting with his friends and supported Punjab Kings. As the Delhi Capitals team won Prakash’s friends pressured him to pay the betting money.
Under pressure and unable to pay Prakash ended his life by hanging himself in his house.
