VISAKHAPATNAM: Local YouTuber Nani has filed a petition with the High Court, seeking justice in connection with the recent Visakha fishing harbour boat accident. Speaking to the media on Friday, Nani vehemently denied any wrongdoing and provided a detailed account of the events surrounding the incident.
Nani asserted, “I want to make it clear that I had no involvement in the Visakha fishing harbour accident. At the time, I was hosting a party for my friends at a different location.” He went on to explain that at 11:45 pm, he received a distressing call informing him of boats being on fire at the harbor. Despite having consumed alcohol earlier, Nani claimed he rushed to the scene via the One Town Police Station.
Describing the chaotic scene, Nani mentioned, “When I arrived at the harbour, the boats were already engulfed in flames. It was a distressing sight, and I immediately started documenting the incident.”
Responding to the allegations against him, Nani stated, “Every moment from the time I received the call until I left the harbor is captured in CCTV footage. I took the video to bring the incident to the government’s attention, but some individuals attempted to assault me during the recording.”
Narrating the aftermath, Nani revealed, “After posting the video, I received a call from the police asking me to appear for an investigation. Shockingly, they accused me of setting the boats on fire and claimed that I assaulted them with a lathi.”
