YSRCP leader celebrates Roja’s defeat; bickerings come to fore

The internal squabbles of YSRCP leaders are coming to the fore after an unprecedented debacle in the elections.
YSRCP leader and former Chairperson of Nagari municipality KJ Santhi hailed the defeat of Tourism Minister RK Roja.  
The YSRCP activists led by some leaders including Santhi were seen celebrating the defeat of Roja in the Nagari constituency. Roja was defeated by TDP candidate Gali Bhanu Prakash by over 45,000 votes. Some YSRCP leaders, who have been opposing RK Roja for the last three years, hailed her defeat.
In a video message, KJ Santhi said that all should celebrate Roja’s defeat as a festival. “I am also celebrating her defeat. The ‘Sheni’ which has been plaguing Nagari constituency for the last 10 years has finally driven away. If Roja had not been given a ticket to contest again, the situation would have been different,” Shanthi opined.
RK Roja did not do anything for the development of Nagiri constituency during her tenure but amassed huge wealth. The people of the constituency were determined to drive her away from the constituency and they did it by voting against her, she said.
At least from now onwards, Roja should be careful while speaking and mind her language, at the same time, she should take all the leaders’ activists without her.
It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, at a programme, held the hands of Roja and Santhi and joined them, advising to work together setting aside their enmity. However, both the women leaders maintained their political enmity resulting in the defeat of Roja in Nagari constituency with a huge margin. Roja also alleged openly that some YSRCP leaders were trying for her defeat.
