Rajya Sabha Member and YSRC Parliamentary Party (YSRCPP) Leader, V Vijayasai Reddy, has expressed confidence in the party’s prospects for the upcoming elections, predicting they will secure more than 151 seats.

Addressing a press conference in Narasaraopet on Thursday, Vijayasai Reddy outlined his expectations, saying that YSRCP is poised to clinch victory in all seven Assembly seats within the Palnadu district, along with the corresponding MP seat.

Backing his optimism, Vijayasai Reddy pointed to recent pre-poll surveys conducted by prominent national media outlets such as ‘Times Now’ and ‘India Today.’ These surveys, he noted, indicated that YSRCP was likely to win between 24 to 25 MP seats. Based on this projection, he confidently asserted that the YSRCP could secure all 175 Assembly seats.

In preparation for the elections, Vijayasai Reddy stated that comprehensive review meetings would be organised in every constituency, extending to the mandal level, to provide clear directives to party members. Additionally, a meeting will be convened with the secretariat conveners, volunteers, and Gruhasaradulu, aimed at enhancing service delivery to the people.

Taking a jab at TDP chief and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Vijayasai Reddy noted Naidu’s enthusiasm regarding the Chandrayaan mission and humorously associated it with his own success.

Vijayasai Reddy criticised Nara Lokesh for issuing threats against the YSRCP cadre, including threats of physical harm and elimination if the TDP were to return to power. He condemned Lokesh’s use of objectionable and offensive language against YSRCP leaders, asserting that such rhetoric would not be well-received by the public. He further accused the TDP of engaging in a history of aggressive politics, characterising many TDP leaders as anti-social elements who were struggling to accept the party’s decline.

Highlighting the YSRCP’s commitment to ‘Direct Benefit Transfer,’ Vijaysai Reddy underscored the transparent implementation of welfare schemes under Chief Minister Jagan Reddy’s leadership, stressing the absence of corruption.

In a scathing attack, he criticised BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari, Sujana Chowdary, and CPI national secretary Narayana for allegedly echoing Chandrababu Naidu’s narrative. He expressed disappointment in Chandrababu Naidu’s role as Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly.

Vijayasai Reddy also noted the YSRCP’s recent success in panchayat by-elections. Responding to a question, he confidently predicted that the TDP would not return to power in 2024, nor in subsequent elections in 2029 and 2034. He criticised former minister Ayyanna Patrudu for using offensive language against the Chief Minister, cautioning him that there would be consequences if he persisted in this manner. Dismissing a news item published in the Eenadu daily regarding his meeting with Minister Vidadala Rajini and his in-law Gopi, Vijaysai Reddy clarified that the party would present evidence to the Chief Election Commissioner on Monday to expose alleged fraudulent voter enrollments by the TDP.

MLAs Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, Namburi Shankar Rao, Bolla Brahma Naidu, Chief Whip Ummareddy Venkateswarulu, and MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevaraulu were present.
