MLA Kancharla Bhupal Reddy on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the development of roads in 13 and 14th wards of Marriguda area of the town along with Municipal Chairman Mandadi Saidireddy and others.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that the CC Road from Renuka Yellamma Temple to Bodrai at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.
He attributed the backwardness of the town to the negligence of the successive rulers that had ruled the united AP.
However, he said, in new state of Telangana the state is progressing unprecedentely. The MLA said that the balance of development works would be completed within three months.
He vowed to develop Marriguda beyond expectations of all provided the people elect him once again and send him to the Assembly.
He appealed to the people to remain bold even in any emergency situation and asked them to count on his support to them.
Later, 100 BJP and Congress activists joined the BRS along with their leaders J Ashok, G Sridhar Reddyy, M Sankar, B Goverdhan, B Mallesh, B Vinod Kumar alias Chanti, V Mallesh, V Saidulu and others.
