NTR District Collector says 29 exam centres arranged in Vijayawada

NTR District Collector Dr S Dilli Rao has directed the officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for the Civil Services Preliminary Examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on May 28. As many as 12,359 candidates will be attending the exams at the Vijayawada centre, he said.

In view of the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam, the Collector convened a meeting with Liasoning Officers, Assistant Liasoning Officers, and Venue Supervisors at the Pingali Venkaiah Meeting Hall at the collectorate in Vijayawada on Wednesday.

He said that as many as 29 examination centres would be arranged for conducting the examinations. Also, 1,160 invigilators have been appointed for this exam. Twenty-nine venue supervisors, 85 assistant supervisors and four district-level officers have been nominated. Paper-1 will be conducted from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and paper-2, from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm, he said.

Special arrangements were made for the 55 differently-abled candidates who would attend the exam at the KBC ZP High School, Patamata, he added. He explained the rules to the examination staff. With the coordination of APSRTC, more buses would ply for the convenience of the candidates to reach the examination centres, he said.

NTR District Joint Collector Dr P Sampath Kumar, District Revenue Officer K Mohan Kumar, Vijayawada Sub Collector Aditi Singh, RDOs YV Prasanna Lakshmi and R Ravindra Rao were present.
